While pursuing the engineering, my father passed away in the very first semester. It made things extremely difficult for me on all fronts as he was the sole bread winner for the family.
To date & until my last day, I will miss him dearly. Those who know him or got a chance to meet him knows that God doesn’t make people like him anymore. He was the best father one could ever expect of.
My parents completed each other and all my early years I used to think that they may not survive without being together. But life is a teacher that makes us stronger enough to survive and handle things which we never imagined to handle at all.
Family
If i say Family is all that matters, believe me!!!
My mother has been a pillar of strength for us. I have seen more failures in life than successes…
But, the best thing is that I have been blessed with beautiful souls around me. Apart from my mother, their guidance helped us move forward but ultimately it is the sailor who sails the boat no matter how many passengers be a part of the ride. In a certain way, the absence of roof on one’s head makes the person hustle more. What my father’s last glance has put unto me can’t be put in the words. It made me stronger than I had ever been, stronger for life.
My sister was too young when father left us and there was no other option that I had than to struggle, work hard and succeed. Not only for self but for the people who mattered. Although, these years of my life took away my dreams of getting full time into astrophysics but I am happy that I didn’t succumb to the circumstances. I still read & research a lot about the ongoing advancements in the sector. Maybe, someday I get a chance to get to be a part of it.
I have been writing since childhood but the actual craft started taking shape when I was in standard XII.
During my graduation, I picked up different jobs like working in a BPO to writing ghost articles for websites, training students on topics I had expertise on to preparing ghost PowerPoint slides. I have done all sorts of jobs per my potential to help support my family.
(Ghost submissions are paid but done on the condition that you would not claim any copyright on the original content that you have created).
By the time I completed my graduation, I already possessed a corporate experience of around 3 years. I worked hard and got promoted in the very first company I worked for and although it impacted my scores a bit but It didn’t hampered my ambitions. Alongside, I continued to write and do those odd jobs as a freelancer.
We had a reel camera which Papa bought us and I used to click random pictures during my free time. It was one of my first independent stint with the camera.
It’s true that hard earned money has no alternates and it makes you happy like no other thing.
Canon Cybershot point & shoot was my second camera. It improved my skill big time because of its technology to see the captured images real time on the screen. The good old reel cameras didn’t have this function. Time progressed and finally I purchased a professional Canon DSLR alongside other professional tool kit for the photographers. Until this time, I was still improving my skills. Did a lot of random shoots on various solo travel trips I took and finally, I started getting appreciation from all corners.
That’s when I started doing it as a Freelance as well. During this time, I met with my wife and it was actually love at first message for us. 🙂
She is one of the most honest person I have ever met and this made me fell for her. She has been a national level 100 metre sprinter and now a Psychologist and a Founder for a well reputed research MNC. Her journey has been phenomenal from a lot of lows to a lot of highs.
Its going to be 7 years of togetherness soon.
Here are a few pictures from our recent travel expeditions:
Now, because of multiple things, I was left with very limited time to pursue other things. This was the time when the much talked about open mics and stand ups started creating their presence in the circuit. I knew I had to go for these in order to get my writing much needed recognition but time was a big limit at that point. Today, this space is huge with a lot of wonderful artists who started only a few years ago and succeeded. Finally, I have started finding time out to name my creations and sharing it with the world.
Coming to my sister, well she is a vibrant young woman now and inspiring in her own sense. She is an MBA and an Event Management Professional alongside developing business for multiple companies. In her free time, she’s a chef and a singer. I am happy to be able to give her courage so she could find her wings and fly.
I wish my mother to get all the happiness in the world which she couldn’t during our days of struggle. I constantly motivate her to do things which she has always wanted to but couldn’t due to the circumstances. I hope she gets strength and begin her own journey as an individual. We will forever be indebted to her for what she has done for us.
Here’s my picture with her:
Today, I am occupied more than ever and a better individual altogether. Someday, I hope to draft all these experiences in a book.
